Pitch-In: Creative Process & Pitching Workshops for Early Career Content Creators

Pitch-In is designed for early screen content creators. It will help participants to present their best creative pitch to potential collaborators and employers.

Participants will take part in a series of workshops that will help them choose and pitch signature works that signal their creative ambition and capabilities. In the concluding workshops they will rehearse and pitch these works, receiving detailed and quantified feedback from their peers through Compton’s proven greenlight process.

Participants will have the opportunity to make connections, form teams and develop projects to the point where they are ready for production. Participants can choose to make a pitch or come along as an observer.

Students will be taught by experts in their fields such as producer Sue Maslin (The Dressmaker, The Show Must Go On), Dr David Court (founder of Compton School and former Head of Screen Business at AFTRS), Denise Eriksen (founder of Media Mentors and former Head of Production and Development at SBS), and Andy Pontin (former CEO of Clemenger BBDO).

What you’ll get:

  • Access to film industry expertise.
  • The opportunity to pitch and get feedback on your project.
  • Gain insight into the greenlight process and how to build creative teams.
  • Gain key skills in collaboration and pitching, skills that lie at the heart of innovation and entrepreneurship.
